National Taiwan University was established up in 1928. The University consists of 11 member universities, 54 faculties and 103 graduate training institutes and 4 research centers. Total number of students is 33,000 of which 17,000 are undergraduates and 15,000 graduate students. Number of postgraduate students of the university is roughly equivalent to the number of undergraduate students showing that Taiwan National University has managed to transfer to a research university.
