Along with Prof.Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan are Pro.Dr.Sc. Vu Minh Giang, Vice President of VNU, representatives of Science and Technology Committee and International Relations Committee. The purpose of the meeting is to exchange, discuss and collaborate on a series of events "The bridge - The dialogue towards a culture of peace" of the 4th Second Southeast Asian countries which is expected to be hosted in Vietnam in the near future At the meeting, Mr.Uwe Morawetz has shown his joy to come visit and work with VNU, also mentioned the plans to invite well-known scientists, who won the Nobel Prize in Economics, Peace, Physics, Chemistry and Medicine to visit and talk to Vietnamese students. Among scientists are Prof. Roger B. Myerson who won the Nobel Prize for Economics in 2007, Prof. Douglas D. Osheroff who won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1996, Prof. Sir Harold W. Kroto who won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1996… Mr.Uwe Morawetz wants to have VNU as a major partner in Vietnam to participate in this event. Prof. Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan has expresses his happiness about the meeting with the representatives of International Peace Fund, also pressed that VNU is a trustworthy unit to organize Science Technology, Education, Culture exchange events; VNU has welcome many popular scientists, Heads of State come to visit and work. He appreciates this plan and considers Nobel-winning people’s visit is not only the pride for VNU, but also the opportunity for VNU students and teachers to discuss about academic subjects.
