Kingdom of Thailand Ambassador to Vietnam H. E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat visits ULIS
On February 27th, 2019, ULIS – VNU met and worked with the Kingdom of Thailand Ambassador to Vietnam H. E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat to promote Thai language at ULIS.

The meeting was attended by President Do Tuan Minh, Vice President Ngo Minh Thuy, Director of the Academic Affairs Office Ha Le Kim Anh, Deputy Director of the Cooperation & Development Bui Dinh Thang, Vice Director of the Politics & Students Affairs Nguyen Huyen Trang, Head of the Division of Linguistic & Cultures of Southeast Asian Countries Nguyen Thi Van Chi. Accompanying the Ambassador was the Second Secretary of the Thai Embassy, Ms. Punnapa Pardungyotee.

At the meeting, President Do Tuan Minh thanked Ambassador H. E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat for visiting and working at ULIS. He said that by establishing the Division of Linguistic & Cultures of Southeast Asian Countries the University had proved its strong orientation to develop Thai language. He hoped that the Ambassador and the Embassy would support the University in teaching and popularizing Thai language and culture.

Thai Ambassador affirmed that the demand for high quality of Thai language human resources was increasing and the Embassy was very interested and ready to support the University to increase the number of lecturers and students who teach and learn Thai language.

At the end of the meeting, President Do Tuan Minh was delighted to share that the University intended to open a Thai reading room and hold an annual Thai language event at ULIS.

 After working with the President, Ambassador Tanee Sangrat met and interacted with students studying Thai at ULIS.
