Located in Songkhla Province, the University was known as Srinakharinwirot University in 1974 and renamed as Thaksin University in 1996. Thaksin University consists of various faculties, including Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Fine Arts, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Technology and Community Development, Faculty of Health and Sport Sciences.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed and exchanged information on training programs, university enrolment curriculum development, educational management, education quality assurance as well as the faculty and students exchange activities.
