Public Policy and Sustainable Development
In the morning of September 11, 2012, VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB) organized the seminar on Public Policy and Sustainable Development under the sponsorship of Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF), Federal Republic of Germany.

HSF is a German political and social foundation operating in 70 countries. Since its appearance in Vietnam in 1990, HSF has developed cooperation with the Government Office, ministries and universities as well as implemented projects on environmental protection and human resources training.
In the efforts of promoting the sustainable growth and contributing to the dynamics and common prosperity of the APEC region, Vietnam must attempt to stabilize its macroeconomy, maintain the reasonable growth rate and develop an overall plan for economic restructuring. In such a context, the seminar was organized to contribute to the discussion and analysis of public policy towards sustainable development. This was the eighth in the series of Public Policy and Development Seminars.
The seminar was divided into two main sessions on Balance of Payment and Public Investment & Public Debt, where delegates, scientists and experts exchanged ideas and scientific opinions on building a public policy to maintain the sustainable development in Vietnam.
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son – Rector of VNU UEB expected the seminar to create the opportunity for sharing and discussion of the solutions to improve the quality of research and training in public policy in Vietnam in general and at VNU UEB in particular.
