Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyễn Ngọc Bình – Rector of VNU UET, Mr. Toshimasa Matsuoka – IEICE Japan as well as representatives from Vietnamese and Japanese universities attended the event.
The Japanese Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE) is one of the most popular professional associations, having a great influence not only in Japan but also in many other countries around the world. With the aim to further promote the cooperative relations in science, technology, and training in the fields of Electronics and Information - Communication Technology, IEICE has decided to establish IEICE Vietnam Section. Currently, IEICE Vietnam Section has more than 22 members, including Vietnamese universities, research institutions and technology companies. VNU UET has been chosen to be liaison of IEICE in Vietnam.
 According to Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyễn Ngọc Bình, IEICE Vietnam Section is entrusted with the mission of organizing scientific events to promote the science and technology activities in the fields of Electronics, Information and Communication Technology in Vietnam. Besides, the Vietnam Section shall serve as a linkage between Vietnamese and Japanese scientists working in such fields in order to strengthen the relationship between the two countries. The Rector emphasized that the workshop shall provide a good opportunity for scientists and students to exchange and share information about Information-Communication Technology.
