Attending the session were Mr. Woo Jong Bum - EBS Chairman of the Board and Director-General, Mr. Lương Thế Phiệt - AIC Deputy Director and representatives of EBS, AIC and VNU functional departments.

During the session, VNU President Phùng Xuân Nhạ proposed VNU and EBS to cooperate in such areas as: Vietnamizing EBS educational television programs, teaching foreign languages on TV, designing TV lectures delivered by VNU professors and scientists, cooperating in training students of Journalism – Communications – Television, jointly developing an internationally standardized E-learning system …. These TV programs are to be transmitted on National Education ​​Channel VTV7, the Internet and mobile devices.

VNU President Phùng Xuân Nhạ hoped that VNU, EBS and AIC would soon implement specific cooperation activities, contributing to the innovating and developing of Vietnam lifelong-oriented education.

Mr. Woo Jong Bum highly appreciated VNU’s proposals. He believed that by cooperating with VNU, AIC would contribute to the training of high quality human resources in the field of Journalism and Communications. EBS Director-General also expected the parties to finalize the proposed cooperation activities to implement in the intermediate future.

On April 25, 2014, EBS, AIC and Vietnam Television signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement on TV programs designing and producing consultation, human resources training, technology and programs transfer, jointly building content and launching channels. Accordingly, EBS would share experience, scripts and educational television programs format with Vietnam.
