During the talks, representatives of VNU’s affiliates gave a brief account of the results of cooperation with Francophone universities and proposed cooperative activities for the coming period.

VNU Vice President Lê Quân affirmed that the cooperation in academic activities between VNU and AUF in recent years had yielded certain success. He expects the cooperation between the two sides to go beyond the current basic programs towards high-level academic programs to make use of the strengths of both VNU’s affiliates and AUF Universities.

AUF Director-General Jean-Paul de Gaudemar asserted that AUF always supported and facilitated the development of cooperation with Vietnamese partners, especially with VNU, Hanoi. AUF has helped and will always help connect VNU with more and more of its member universities as well as encourage them to get involved in VNU’s International visiting scholar scheme by sending their professors and experts to VNU to teach and do research.

VNU Vice President Lê Quân and AUF Director-General Jean-Paul de Gaudemar also agreed on a number of specific cooperative activities: co-implementing accreditation of academic programs; coordinating the application of digital technology in training; promoting the development of VNU’s International visiting scholar scheme through AUF; creating opportunities for VNU International Francophone Institute (VNU IFI) to get access to AUF’s laboratories network, to share resources and to get support in facilities for its sustainable development. 

VNU has been effectively implementing various joint training programs with AUF universities, such as Master in Economic Cooperation Law and International Business (VNU School of Law with Toulouse 1 University of Social Sciences, Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University and Montesquieu Bordeaux 4), Master in IT (VNU IFI), Master in Nuclear Physics and Applications (VNU University of Science) ...
