VNU President welcomes the Russian Federation Ambassador to Vietnam Konstantin V. Vnukov
On May 3, 2017, VNU President Nguyễn Kim Sơn welcomed and had a working session with the Russian Federation Ambassador to Vietnam Konstantin V. Vnukov.

Informing the Ambassador of the long-standing cooperation between VNU and Russian partners, VNU President Nguyễn Kim Sơn said that VNU had signed many agreements and had been implementing various research, training and exchange activities with Russian famous higher institutions including Lomonosov Moscow State University, Saint-Petersburg University, the People’s Friendship University of Russia, the Russian State Hydrometeorological University, Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MPEI)...

VNU President Nguyễn Kim Sơn said that VNU was the leading university in training and research on Russian culture and language in Vietnam, with a large number of research and teaching staff trained in Russia and the former Soviet Union. Therefore, VNU President hoped that the Ambassador would further his support and connection with VNU through such activities as: connecting the alumni systems; recommending staff, lecturers and scientists to participate in joint research and training projects; co-organizing seminars, workshops and other academic events; promoting students exchange and support; implementing other research programs in the fields of common interest…for promoting the image of the Russian people and culture in Vietnam.

Highly appreciating the cooperation between VNU and Russian partners, Ambassador Konstantin V. Vnukov promised to readily support and together with his colleagues, experts, researchers to deliver lectures to VNU students and take part in other academic activities. He would also actively introduce VNU image and connect VNU with Russian research and training institutions.

At the meeting, VNU President and the Russian Ambassador to Vietnam discussed the organization of a commemoration of Vietnamese and Russian heroes having scarified their lives for their countries and a music program named “Victory singing” with the collaboration of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Hanoi, the Russian Federation Embassy in Vietnam and VNU.

Ambassador Konstantin V. Vnukov believed that the event would not only express gratitude and respect to Vietnamese and Russian heroes but also promote the partnership between the two nations.
