Deputy Prime Minister Vương Đình Huệ: Government commits to doing its utmost to promote a complete start-up ecosystem
On May 19, 2017, VNU Youth Union - VNU Students’ Association collaborated with Vietnam Youth Federation, Young Entrepreneurs Association and Vietnam Private Economic Forum in organizing the annual Young Entrepreneurs and Start-up Youth Forum entitled “Creative Start-up: Right Understanding - Right Action”.

Deputy Prime Minister Vương Đình Huệ attended the forum and delivered a speech.

VNU Vice President Lê Quân and a large number of VNU students also attended the forum.

The forum was a chance to promote public-private external relations and policy consultation between start-ups community and the government officials, related ministries and departments.

Speaking at the forum, Deputy Prime Minister Vương Đình Huệ promised that the Government would do its utmost to promote a complete start-up ecosystem, to build start-up support centres, to enable venture capital funds, to build business start-up nurseries…

At the forum, young entrepreneurs exchanged financial issues - capital for innovation start-ups, legal mechanisms for the operation of innovative entrepreneurship, and specific proposals for the ministries to consider. There were also various opinions concerning the reform of administrative procedures, the application of technology in innovative start-ups, the market for innovative start-ups and the introduction of innovative products to the market.

Many entrepreneurs proposed the State to pay more attention to and encourage restart-ups to promote the traditional business enterprises in innovating and increasing the application of science and technology to promote traditional products and services.

Trade strategy and policy as a guide for creative start-ups was also a topic of great interest. Being optimistic about the start-up movement, 77% of the participants believed that Vietnam would soon become a start-up nation.
