ADF scholarship worth 46-million Vietnam dong for VNU’s best entrance exam candidate
On November 6, 2019, Asia Development Foundation, Korea (ADF) awarded VNU’s 20 best entrance exam candidates scholarships, each valued $2,000, equivalent to more than 46 million VND. These students will continue to receive the scholarship until graduation, provided that they achieve excellent study results and actively participate in social activities.

On July 11, 2018, VNU and ADF signed a cooperation agreement on providing ADF scholarship for VNU’s best entrance exam candidates. This year, ADF has provided twenty scholarships for excellent students including twelve top candidates in VNU’s 2019 entrance examination and eight 2018 ADF scholarship awardees with excellent academic results.

Congratulating the VNU’s 20 ADF scholarship awardees, VNU Vice President Pham Bao Son reminded these students to take this opportunity to try and make more efforts in study.

In addition, he highly appreciated the humanitarian value ​​and practical meaning of ADF scholarships through the ADF Scholarship Program for VNU’s students. This scholarship not only helps the students study better but also supports training high quality human resources at VNU. He hopes that in the future, the cooperation between VNU and ADF will be expanded to include other fields.

Expressing his impression about VNU’s excellent students, Mr. Namchul Cho – ADF Vice President, hoped that after graduating, the scholarship awardees would become talents and contribute more to society.

Delighted with the acknowledgement of her past efforts, Le Thi Thu Phuong – a student from the Department of Korean Language and Culture, VNU University of Languages and International Studies, said, “This scholarship is really a great encouragement for me and the other students present here to continue trying in the next school years. We promise to study harder and take a more active part in extra-curricular activities in order to become a useful person in society”.
