Officially approved student exchange between VNU School of Medicine and Pharmacy and Junshin Gakuen University (Japan)
Authorized by VNU leaders and with effective consultation of E Hospital, on November 12, 2019, VNU School of Medicine and Pharmacy signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Junshin Gakuen University (Japan) to formalize the framework of bilateral cooperation in the fields of medicine and health sciences.

 

VNU Vice President Pham Bao Son attended the signing ceremony. Expressing his high appreciation of the two sides' leaders’ efforts in upgrading the years-long exchange relations into an official cooperation framework, Vice President Pham Bao Son believed that the signing of the MOU between VNU School of Medicine and Pharmacy and Junshin Gakuen University would not only create a training, experience sharing environment to improve qualification quality of the two institutions, but also further contribute to the strengthening of Vietnam – Japan relations.

According to the MOU, VNU School of Medicine and Pharmacy and Junshin Gakuen University will cooperate to promote exchange of lecturers and researchers to participate in conferences, seminars and talks; exchange of documents related to training programs, research and research applications in the fields of mutual interest; exchange of site visits by the two sides’ lecturers and administrative staffs; implementation of joint research and application activities; and student exchange.

From 2020 onwards, the two institutions will make plans for exchanging lecturers, researchers and students to advance long-term cooperation in teaching and research. The mechanism of cooperation in each specific activity will be agreed on by the two sides on the basis of equal rights and obligations.

Previously, VNU School of Medicine and Pharmacy had established cooperation with many universities offering health care courses such as Yonsei University, Ewha University (South Korea), Osaka Medical University (Japan).

VNU School of Medicine and Pharmacy was established under VNU President’s Decision No.1507/QD-TCCB dated May 20, 2010.

In 2012, the School successfully recruited its first intake of 100 students for Medicine and Pharmacy majors. Five years after that, the first students graduated, marking the completion of a quality training cycle, providing the society with the first human resource in the field of community health care.

Currently, VNU School of Medicine and Pharmacy has 23 affiliated departments.
