Sunwah Group to boost joint activities with VNU
Sunwah Group’s delegation led by Sunwah Vietnam Director Mr. Jessi Choi paid a working visit to VNU and met with VNU’s leaders on the occasion of New Year 2020. VNU Vice President Pham Bao Son chaired the meeting.

Sunwah Group has been a partner of VNU since 2013 and President of Sunwah Group Jonathan Choi was awarded an honorary doctorate degree for his contributions and dedication to VNU's development. The cooperation agreement between VNU and Sunwah Group focuses on the fields of training high quality human resources and high-level scientific research; developing and internationalizing joint national training programs and joint research projects in areas of mutual interest; developing scholarship and student exchange programs; supporting and jointly implementing the VNU project in Hoa Lac; implementing and supporting cultural exchange programs.

On the occasion of New Year 2020 as well as the 50th anniversary of Sunwah Group's presence in Vietnam, the Sunwah Group’s delegation hopes to promote cooperation with VNU. As the Group is very interested in transferring technology, investing in science and technology research products in universities and applying them into practice, it expects to create a network of young scientists from VNU, VNU Ho Chi Minh City and scientists of VinaCapital and Sunwah Group to exchange, share and develop research products.

Since 2013, Sunwah Group has maintained the image of a sustainable and effective partner through many active support activities, such as sponsoring the construction of VNU ULIS - Jonathan KS. Choi Cultural Centre; funding the overseas missions of VNU delegation to observe and learn from the experience of the International Education Area in China; providing scholarships for undergraduate and graduate training for students and lecturers from VNU ULIS to study and research at prestigious universities in China; co-hosting international scientific conferences with VNU, etc.

VNU Vice President Pham Bao Son hoped that in the coming time, Sunwah Group would apply successful cooperation models between Sunwah Group and VNU ULIS into the other units under VNU. Under the context of VNU's intensive teaching innovation plan, VNU wished and believed that Sunwah Group would effectively assist in bringing VNU's talented staff and lecturers to networking seminars with the presence of internationally influential innovation experts. Sunwah Group can also sponsor VNU’s student exchange programs with partner units in China, Hong Kong or Macao. With the outlook towards a fast-forming university city in Hoa Lac, VNU expects Sunwah Group to contribute to the building of a number of component constructions to accelerate the formation of a VNU training and research complex in Hoa Lac.
