May SAT administration canceled worldwide due to Covid-19 pandemic
On its website, College Board (USA) announced the cancellation of its May 2, 2020 SAT (a standardized test of competence used for admission to universities and colleges in the US) administration worldwide in response to the rapidly evolving situation around the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Candidates who registered for the May SAT will be refunded. Additional SAT testing opportunities for students will be provided as soon as possible, but the exact schedule is still to be confirmed.

College Board also affirmed that they had not yet canceled the June 6, 2020 SAT administration. They will continue to assess its status, with the health and safety of students and educators as their top priority.

To help students keep their college readiness skills sharp when many schools are closed, College Board and Khan Academy will continue to provide free resources online, including full-length practice tests and personalized learning tools.

Besides the SAT, the ACT, another important standardized test for US college and university admissions, was also rescheduled from April 4 to June 13 across the United States.
