In 2019, VNU President authorized VNU-IS to implement the Dual degree programs – Bachelor in Marketing in collaboration with HELP University (Malaysia) and Bachelor in Management in collaboration with Keuka College (USA).

This Ceremony holds a special meaning as it is the beginning of a long-lasting cooperation with prestigious foreign universities, launching of a new training model at VNU – the Dual degree model.

Opening speech by VNU-IS Vice-Dean -  Dr. Nguyen Quang Thuan.

According to VNU-IS Vice-Dean Nguyen Quang Thuan, after nearly 20 years of development, from a small institution offering only 01 undergraduate program in Russian, VNU-IS has now launched and successfully implemented 08 undergraduate programs and 05 graduate programs in English with different models (e.g joint training, dual degrees, etc.).

“Today, as authorized by Vietnam National University, Hanoi, VNU-IS will implement a new training model – the dual degree programs with prestigious partner universities across the world. In that connection, VNU-IS has increased the number of its programs to 10. As a result, students coming to VNU-IS will have more chances to enroll in “trendy” programs meeting international standards. The Kick-off Ceremony for Dual degree programs marks a milestone in the relationships between VNU-IS, HELP University, and Keuka College. These programs also strengthen the strategic and long-term cooperation of the parties”, expressed by Dr. Nguyen Quang Thuan.

Representatives of HELP University and Keuka College believed that the dual degree programs will help students open doors to great opportunities such as: receiving degrees from 2 prestigious education institutions in different countries located in different continents with different languages. They are happy to welcome students coming to their main campuses for one semester of study program. This is the main attraction of the students in choosing the dual degree programs.

In 2018, VNU-IS and HELP University started to design the Bachelor in Marketing program under the dual degree model. In this program, the Bachelor in Marketing degree will be awarded by VNU and the Bachelor of Business (Marketing) (Honours) will be awarded by HELP University.

This is a 4-year program (to be completed in 8 semesters) with English as a medium of instruction. Student enrollment target is 80 students.

In particular, students will have an opportunity to study the 6th semester of the program at HELP University with the same tuition fees. Students can either study the remaining semesters at VNU-IS or continues their study at HELP University. In addition, they will be offered great opportunities to take part in study tour or exchange programs between two institutions as well as to attend a Convocation Ceremony in Malaysia.
