In 2019, VNU kicked off an Entrepreneurship course for students and organized the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement among VNU Centre for Enabling Startups and Knowledge Transfer, Funix Online Education Joint Stock Company (under FPT Education System), Hanoi Young Business Association, the Centre for Young Entrepreneurs' Support (under the Central Committee of Vietnam Youth Federation) to design the above-named course.

During the period from 2016 to 2020, VNU has oriented scientific research towards a combination of academic research and innovation–oriented applied research in the national startup ecosystem, creating resonant values for business and community. In that spirit, VNU’s units implemented the following specific constructive and supportive activities in 2019:

- Organizing the "Capital’s Career Day" on VNU’s campus, including a series of 6 major activities: Capital’s Startup Forum, Exhibition of Products, Science Conference on knowledge transfer, Pitching startup projects, Talkshow with startup experts, Gala dinner connecting entrepreneurs;

- Organizing the event series "Café BUSINESS START-UP" attracting many young people and students who are passionate about entrepreneurship, and the Northern Region AIoT & SMART CITIES 2019 contest for the startup community on the theme of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT);

- VNU Vietnam - Japan University held the Startup Journey contest;

- VNU University of Economics and Business organized the contest BUSINESS CHALLENGES;

- VNU International School organized a creative startup ideas contest: VNU – IS STARTUP INNOVATION IDEAS 2019 …

Improving students’ integration skills and employability

In 2019, VNU focused on directing its affiliates to organize activities, seminars and talks on entrepreneurship, such as "UEB Job Fair 2019", "Creative, Research and Entrepreneurial Students’ Day”, “ULIS Students’ Festival of Innovation, Research and Entrepreneurship (ULIS FIRE)”, "Technology Job Fair"… to enhance students’ employability.

VNU offered orientation and career guidance programs to introduce and promote the image of VNU as well as to arouse passion for scientific research and learning among students, such as: "HUS Open Day", "HUS Orientation", "ULIS Tour", "UET Tour", ...

VNU also organized activities to promote entrepreneurial spirit in students, such as the contest "Thien The Innovative Entrepreneurship", the program "Meet and Exchange with Student Startup Groups”, the seminar “Students with Innovative Entrepreneurship”...
