On October 12^th, 2020, ULIS – VNU held the opening ceremony of the 2020-2021 academic year for international students and foreign experts. The event was held both in physical hall and on Zoom software so that overseas students could attend.

Every year, ULIS receives about 300 international students from different countries (such as Japan, Korea, China, Ukraine, Russia, Germany, etc) to study in various training programs such as full-time, graduate, exchange and short-term courses.

In the 2020-2021 academic year, ULIS – VNU offers training courses to 28 international students to study in its courses, of which, 10 new students enrolled in full-time courses, 5 students enrolled in Vietnamese foundation course and 13 senior students. In addition, the University regularly welcomes international students to study short-term Vietnamese language courses.

Delivering his speech at the ceremony, Vice President Lam Quang Dong thanked the foreign students for choosing to study at ULIS. Although there may still be some difficulties due to the Covid-19 translation, the Vice President believed that the 2020-2021 academic year would bring many interesting experiences and memories to international students and foreign experts.

In the opening program, the teachers and international students participated in many interesting activities such as performing arts, enjoying different cuisines, watching videos and so on.
