Each Toshiba scholarship is valued at 100,000 JPY for the whole academic year, equivalent to nearly 21,000,000 VND. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic impact, the program was held online via the Internet.

At the meeting, VNU’s graduate students presented their research papers and discussed their research results. Many essential topics in the fields of natural and social sciences, technology, engineering, economics and issues of social concern, such as climate change and the Covid-19 pandemic, were discussed, showing novelty and creativity in the students’ scientific research, which is practically meaningful to each individual and the community.

Toshiba Scholarship Program was signed between VNU and Toshiba Corporation in 2005. Over the past 16 years, VNU and Toshiba Scholarship Foundation have successfully organized 13 scholarship programs and scientific seminars. Three hundred VNU’s graduate students have been awarded the Toshiba scholarships amounting to about 20,000,000 JPY, equivalent to 4,300,000,000 VND.

The Toshiba Scholarship Program is very important in supporting VNU's training of highly-qualified human resources. The program not only contributes to helping improve VNU students’ learning conditions, but also opens up new opportunities for them to access modern technology, advanced organization and management of a large reputable business as Toshiba Corporation.
