11. Summary of a new findings of the thesis:

- Generalizing both main theoretical issues and the historical background of Zhiguai genre in China and Vietnam.

- Pointing out characteristics of the genre Zhiguai and its circumstance in Vietnamese and Chinese literature history.

- Demonstrating that Selection of Wondrous Tales in Linh Nam and Collection of Stories on the Shady and Spiritual World of the Viet Realm are influenced by Records of Searching for Spirits through cultural contacts and exchanges.

- Pointing out some significant grammatical phenomena of the genre Zhiguai that is, they were of written vernacular Chinese in the early period, simultaneously, specifying existential sentence and sentential sentence as the two types of sentence characterized of the genre Zhiguai.

Compiling references for Literature, Sino - Nom students and for those who are interested in this study subject.

Studying the impact of Chinese Zhiguai on Vietnamese Strange Tales.
