11.  Summary of the new finding of the thesis:

Firstly, the thesis affirms the important role of intellectual characters in post-1975 Vietnamese novels.

Secondly, the thesis points out characteristics as well as the generalized symbol of intellectual character in post-1975 Vietnamese novels.

Thirdly, the thesis demonstrates the artistic specificities of Vietnamese writers after 1975 in the creation of the intellectual character as well as the original artistic styles of some writers based on the description of intellectual characters.

Fourthly, the thesis researches the theme of intellectual characters in post-1975 Vietnam novels in particular and Vietnamese literature in general into the interrelation and the common development of this topic in the international literature movement.

The thesis can be served as a document for researching, studying and teaching literature theory in high schools and at universities.
