11. Summary of new findings of dissertation:

(i) Contribute to the improvement of the methodology for assessing the threshold load of river basin in the context of climate change and socio-economic development.

(ii) The load threshold of the Nhue-Day river basin has been calculated and forecasted in the context of the impact of climate change and socio-economic development scenarios.

(iii) Proposed management and protection measures to prevent environmental pollution in the Nhue-Day river basin.

12. Practical applicability:

To assist managers and policy makers in monitoring, warning and prevention of environmental pollution in the Nhue-Day river basin and actively working out plans for environmental protection of the Nhue-Day river basin in the context of climate change.

13. Further research directions:

1) Continue to study the basics to determine the level of pollutant load that can be discharged into river sections, to study the distribution of pollution quota for each waste source in the basin and to legalize it through research and issue a circular on assessing the load capacity of rivers and allocating quotas for discharge into rivers.

2) Research on the effectiveness of exploiting the role of aquatic plants, aquatic animals and microorganisms in increasing the self-cleaning capacity of the flow,  consequently, there are measures to protect and restore the riverside wetlands and protect the river itself; Development of technical guidelines for calculation of load capacity and discharge quotas for river basins.

3) Effective combination of integrated water resources management measures, inter-sectoral and inter-regional coordination; control of the source of direct discharge in the basin, and propose the establishment of an automated environmental monitoring system aimed at alerting the water quality of the river and reducing pollutant discharge load for the Nhue Day River.
