11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis

The thesis investigated major transformations and consequential issues of village culture in the Red River Delta under the effect of urbanization from 1986 until today, in particular:

- From a philosophical perspective, the thesis intepreted the transformation of village culture in the Red River Delta under the effect of urbanization in some major aspects: tradition and habits, culture and arts, organization. On that basis, the thesis analyzed emerging issues of village culture in the Red River Delta under the effect of urbanization nowadays.

- The thesis then suggested some key solutions to enhance positive transformations and suppress negative ones in village culture in the Red River Delta during urbanization in order to achieve a well-round developed and sustainable rural area.

12. Practical applicability

- The thesis’s findings provided a clearer view on theory of village culture and the practical transformation of village culture in the Red River Delta under the effect of urbanization nowadays.

- The dissertation can be used as reference in teaching and studying courses related to culture, village culture, rural studies in Vietnam.
