11. Summary of the new findings of the doctoral thesis:

- Applying geographical, ecological anthropology approaches and methods such as GIS, resource assessment, etc... to clarify Moc Chau’s territorial zoning into 5 subregions, as a scientific evidence for the development of community-based ecotourism in Moc Chau District

- Identifying three typical types of sustainable tourism in this area, namely (1) homestay, (2) agricultural tourism; (3) trekking tourism; and assessing levels of priority to develop community-based ecotourism of each subregions. Finally, suggesting orientation solutions for community-based ecotourism development of Moc Chau district.

12. Practical applicability, if any: The databases, and research results (such as thematic maps) of the thesis are valuable scientific reference for local government and managers to make planning decisions, and exploit the territory sustainably for tourism development. Also, it can be documents of interest for those doing researches on community-based tourism, ecotourism in other similar areas.

13. Further research directions, if any: Studying the supply side of each mentioned types of  tourism in Moc Chau (i.e. the needs and demands of visitors) and other conditions for the implementation of those tourism types into practice.
