- Systemizing the main faults in Cenozoic Songhong basin base on interpreting and connecting onshore fault systems with offshore fault systems;

- Confirm the roles of Songchay fault and Songlo fault for Songhong basin formation; the role of Vinh Ninh for zoning tectonic inversion during late Oligocene and late Miocene;

- Determine the distribution rule and formation time order of late Miocene inversion structures;

- Determine the relationship between strike slip phases (left lateral and right lateral) of Songhong faults zone and petroleum potential of structural traps in Songhong basin.
