11. Summary of original findings:

- This dissertation is the first in-depth study of the three Vietnamese anthologies of Classical Chinese poetry from the 15th century.

- This dissertation studies and describes different versions of each anthology to show their structure and sort them into two groups: 1) the anthologies compiled under the order of the emperor, for example, Việt âm thi tập (Anthology of Poems in the National Language) and, 2) the anthologies compiled based on the structures and styles of the poems, for example, Tinh tuyển chư gia luật thi (Anthology of the Great Poets of the Regulated Verses) and based on authors' intentions regarding aesthetics (trích diễm), for example, Trích diễm thi tập (Anthology of Beautiful Verses).

- This dissertation analyzes and points out the principles and rules by which The Anthology of Poems in the National Language was compiled and edited.

- This dissertation studies the process of compilation and creation of the anthologies.

12. Practical applicability, if any:

- Studying the structures of the three anthologies will set up the basis for understanding other anthologies written in Classical Chinese.

- The results of this dissertation will contribute materials to teaching and learning Sino-Nom Studies and Vietnamese Middle Age Literature in Vietnamese Universities.

13. Further research directions, if any:

In future research, I would like to study other ancient anthologies of poetry. The results will contribute to understandings of the process of making poetry anthologies in ancient Vietnam in general.
