11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis

The thesis assessed the effectiveness of implementing PFES policy in Vietnam in three aspects: process assessment; Efficiency (economic, social and environmental) and impact assessment. The thesis provides a number of specific criteria for assessing the overall effectiveness of the implementation and implementation of PFES programs and has been applied specifically to the Ba Be district, Bac Kan province.

This thesis proposed to supplement the "Effectiveness assessment" that is currently lacking in PFES policy, contributing to the improvement and promotion of sustainable forest protection in Vietnam.

12. Practical applicability, if any:

The research results of the thesis will contribute to clearly define the implementation process, the overall efficiency (economic, social and environmental) and the actual impacts of the PFES (Payment for Forest environmental Services) policy in the Ba Be district of Bac Kan province.

Based on the synthesis and analysis of the research results of this thesis, appropriate recommendations will be made to supplement the assessment of the effectiveness of PFES programs on PFES policies of Vietnam.

Research on solutions to improve the equity, transparency and efficiency of the implementation of the PFES policy in Vietnam.
