11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis

- Providing an approach the relations between a power country and a small country sharing the border, having the same socialist model and no disputes over territorial sovereignty.

- Provide a perspective on how China used in relations with other small countries.

- A comprehensive and systematic research project on China - Laos from the beginning of the 21 st century to the present. By analyzing the contents, the thesis clarifies the implications of this relationship for Laos and its implications for Vietnam and the region.

- The thesis contributes more theoretical basis for the analysis of bilateral relations, especially the relationship between a power and a small country, particularly here are developing power country and a small country.
