11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

- Firstly, the thesis clarifies some theoretical aspects of international political relations (the concepts and their characteristics; the factors affecting international political relations; the typical theories in research on international political relations; the approach to research the contents of international political relations in a specific period; ...).

- Secondly, international political relations 1945-1955 is scientifically and systematically explained based on the political approach, meaning that the competition for power between related actors should be seen as the main points.

- Thirdly, international political relations 1945-1955 is thoroughly commented on, thereby pointing out its major impacts on the Vietnamese revolution as well as proposing several recommendations with theoretical and practical values for Vietnam in the current period.

12. Practical applicability, if any:

- The thesis’s research results can contribute to perfecting the theoretical basis of research on international political relations from the political approach in Vietnam.

- The thesis can be used as a reference for other relevant topics.

- The thesis provides several comments and policy recommendations with scientific values for Vietnam in the current period.

13. Further research directions, if any:

- Further improving the political approach in research on international political relations, thereby defining more clearly theoretical bases and specific methods to carry out other relevant studies.

- Expanding the scope of the research in terms of time, space, and content to further clarify the power competition between actors during the Cold War; assessing the impacts of those developments on Vietnam and pointing out valuable experiences and suggestions for the improvement of Vietnam’s foreign policy in the new situation.

- Studying international political relations in the early 21st century to get a more updated and comprehensive view on world politics as well as Vietnam’s position, opportunities, and challenges in such context.
