Arizona State University (ASU or Arizona State) was founded in 1885, is a public research university. It is the largest public university in the United States by enrollment. ASU offers over 250 academic undergraduate programs and majors led by expert faculty from highly ranked colleges and schools. Graduate students work directly with top researchers and faculty in first-class facilities, labs and venues at one of the most forward-thinking metropolitan research universities in the country. ASU's Graduate College provides support to graduate students at every juncture of their program, from admission to thesis and dissertation preparation. Academic programs consist of: Arts and Sciences; Business; Design and the Arts; Education; Engineering; Journalism; Law; Nursing and Health; Public Programs; Sustainability; Technology and Innovation; University (Exploratory).
