Speaking at the welcoming Mr. Ukrainian National Assembly chairman, Prof. Dr. Vu Minh Giang has emphasized that Vietnam and Ukraine have a relationship the good traditions of friendship-based relationships built over the years ago. Throughout its long history with many ups and downs, Ukraine has always been the same side with Vietnamese during the Patriotic hero reunification as well as in peacetime. Ukraina have made great contribution in providing training for our many experts, scientists, managers, among those are many scientists, professors of VNU. Prof. Dr. Vu Minh Giang has said that the friendship has been forged in many tough but proud and glorious challenges, which make Ukraine and Vietnam became the traditional friends. Both nations are holding hands together towards a better future. Taking education as importance, Vietnam and Ukraine have been actively raising the importance of cooperation in training, improving their professional team of experts in science and education, exchange of management experience education and learning; and conducting joint research in the field of social sciences and humanities, natural sciences, technology... Those scholars who are trained are not only scientists, educators, talented but they are also the cultural ambassadors of solidarity and friendship between the two peoples. With its position as the center of higher education, postgraduate research and interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, high quality in Vietnam, VNU realizes the responsibility and mission are to contribute positively to consolidating and developing traditional friendship, enduring, mutual understanding and fruitful cooperation in various fields between the two countries. The President of Ukrainian Parliament, Mr. Volodymyr Lytvyn has expressed their gratitude before the welcome reception of the market leaders, officials, teachers and students of VNU. The President of Ukrainian National Assembly has said that when he learned at the University of Kiev, he was learning with some friends from Vietnam, even in the same street, living in a dormitory. "I did not think I have visited your beautiful country and meet familiar people. I believe 8000 alumni who studied in Ukraine will be the goodwill ambassador of friendship of the two countries. You are the jewel in the traditional friendship and you are actively contributing to the development of education in both nations, opening a new page on the friendship of our two countries” said Mr. Volodymyr Lytvyn. After the welcome ceremony, VNU has solemnly held a ceremony awarding an honorary doctorate for Parliament President of Ukraine, Mr. Volodymyr Lytvyn which is attended by numerous officials, teachers and students of VNU. Speaking at the ceremony awarding an honorary doctorate, Prof. Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan has congratulated Mr. Volodymyr Lytvyn and he has also emphasized that Mr.Volodymyr Lytvyn will become an important bridge for friendship and good strengthened cooperation between Vietnam and Ukraine on many fronts, especially in the field of higher education and science and technology. The positive results achieved in the relations and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries in general, and between VNU with universities, institutes and research centers of Ukraine in particular, will be the basis for the two continue on developing strong ties of friendship, good tradition to new heights, bringing the bilateral relations more in-depth, practical and effective, including the education sector which plays a VNU important role.
