According to the MoU, VNU and RMIT Vietnam will cooperate in such activities as promoting academic and management training programs in Vietnam; conducting collaborative research projects; exchanging faculty, researchers and administrative staffs; exchanging PhD supervisors and PhD students; conducting lectures and organizing symposia, conferences; exchanging academic information and materials; etc.

Expressing her pleasure to sign the MoU with VNU, RMIT Vietnam President Gael McDonald emphasized that in the era of globalization and interdependence, cooperative partnerships with other educational institutions of academic excellence were no longer an option, but a necessity.

According to RMIT Vietnam President, RMIT Vietnam’s vision for continued excellence is to invest much more resources to enhance knowledge and foster large-scale research to meet the new challenges in the globalization era and maximize new opportunities for the benefit of the people of Vietnam and beyond. “Therefore, the signing of this MoU between our two universities today symbolizes a partnership which we believe will lead to many new joint research and training initiatives, producing new synergy and academic value for both RMIT Vietnam and VNU in the years ahead”, Mrs. Gael McDonald affirmed.

Highly appreciating RMIT’s contribution to Vietnam education as well as the cooperation between VNU and RMIT Vietnam, VNU Vice President Nguyễn Hoàng Hải believed that the MoU would open new cooperation opportunities. In addition, VNU Vice President proposed cooperation in applying information technology to research and training as well as conducting joint quality assurance activities.
