In addition to the traditional disciplines, VNU continuously adjusts, supplements and develops new training programs, especially those are pioneering, interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary programs. The content and structure of the training programs are being shifted towards application, increasing their adaptability to the labour market in accordance with the requirements of the digital transformation revolution and international integration.
Furthermore, VNU students can have a choice of international joint training programs as well as the opportunity to transfer credits with VNU's partner universities in the region and in the world.
VNU is considered as an incubator for training the young generation with strong aspirations, ambitions and creativity knowledge. Many VNU alumni are currently politicians, businessmen and scientists, who hold key positions in organizations, corporations, enterprises, and a lot of them have featured in the international arena.
Numerous VNU's gifted high school students are honoured to represent Vietnam’s talents in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, etc. to participate in and win high prizes at international Olympiads.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Le Khanh Hang, Deputy Head of Virus Department - National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, Alumnus of VNU University of Science said: “In addition to the basic theoretical knowledge that is combined with practice, the university also invests in a diversified key laboratory system to give students the opportunity to practice while working at the research institutes as well as in other organizations”.
“Our teachers not only teach us knowledge for exams, but also inspire us to better love the subjects to learn them for research and creativity as well”, shared by Nguyen Hoang Duong, Student from VNU HUS High School for Gifted Students, Gold medalist at the International Chemistry Olympiad 2020.
In addition, Nguyen Phuong Thao, Student from VNU HUS High School for Gifted Students, Gold medalist at the International Biology Olympiad 2018 expressed, “I am very honoured and proud to be studying at VNU, a rich traditional academic environment in Vietnam”.
