VNU’s student affairs in 2020 were shifted towards comprehensive innovation, prioritizing the reform of administrative procedures, creating the best learning and training environment for learners, and strong connections between training institutions and employers to best support learners with practical knowledge and skills associated with the labour market for job opportunities. The software supporting the settlement of "one-stop" administrative procedures for students in 2020 was effectively implemented by VNU University of Engineering and Technology and VNU University of Languages and International Studies, etc.; Offices of cooperation and business connection; Creativity, startup stimulating space was efficiently promoted in renewing methods of implementing extracurricular activities, increasing students' contact and experience in the school environment in line with the general trend of modern university governance; the model of multi-purpose student card has not only integrated the necessary functions required by training management to support, and serve students’ activities but also unified the student’s details databases across VNU, etc.

In 2020, VNU effectively managed and used off-budget scholarships to support students with the total value of over 5 billion VND at VNU level.
