11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

- The press is the main channel to access to information about preservation and promotion of Hanoi's physical culture in the press. Particularly, television is the most popular media form.

- Although the press provides the public with the awareness of the preservation and promotion of Hanoi's physical culture in the press, the imbalance of two groups of preservation and promotion of Hanoi's physical culture in the press stills exits. As a result, the preservation is more positive than the promotion.

- The press have not really satisfied information need of the people in connection with the issues related to the preservation and promotion of Hanoi's physical culture.

12. Practical applicability: The thesis is a reference for the leadership at levels, the direction of government authorities, the coordination of departments and sectors with the press to innovate and enhance the quality and efficiency of leadership, direction and coordination for the preservation and promotion of Hanoi's physical culture. The thesis is also a reference for study, research and learning for students of journalism major, postgraduate students, master and doctoral students and those who are interested in the topic.

13. Further research directions: Research results indicate limitations and shortcomings of the press. The research results contribute to opening new research directions on the preservation and promotion of Hanoi's physical culture, and to establish a growing steady and modern press system of Vietnam.
