Bridging to promote Vietnam – China friendship
On August 23, 2012, VNU University of Education (UED) and North-East University of Teacher Training, China co-organized the graduation ceremony for 40 masters majoring in Social Management under Project 165 of Vietnam’s Government.

Attending were Mr. Liu San Zhen – Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Huu Duc – VNU Vice President, Mr. Vu Trung Dung – Deputy Chief of the Project 165 office, Prof.Dr. Zhang Shao Jie – Vice President of North-East University of Teacher Training, and Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thi My Loc – Rector of VNU UED.
This first course had an intake of 40 students and lasted for 2 years. During the learning period, learners could receive knowledge from leading professors from North-East University of Teacher Training and join field trips to this university.
Mr. Liu San Zhen emphasized that the cooperation between VNU and Chinese prestigious universities had contributed to the traditional friendship between the two countries.
Prof.Dr. Nguyen Huu Duc sent his congratulations to the graduate students and hoped that they could effectively apply their perceived knowledge at work. Also, he stressed that as a leading training center of high quality, VNU paid special attention to enhance the cooperation with world prestigious and high-ranking universities including North-East University of Teacher Training so as to improve its training quality.
Besides, the Vice President hoped for further cooperation between North-East University of Teacher Training and VNU UED in particular and VNU as a whole.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Zhao Shao Jie was happy to witness the success of the first course and believed that the newly graduates would act as a linkage and become core factors in promoting the friendship between the two countries.
