To enhance cooperation with Taiwan’s National Tsing Hua University (NTHU)
On September 10, 2012, the NTHU delegation led by Prof. Wei-Chung Wang – Vice President for Global Affairs visited and worked with VNU.

Welcoming the delegation were Prof.Dr.Sc. Vu Minh Giang – VNU Vice President and representatives from VNU functional departments and VNU affiliated universities.
At the meeting, lots of important issues were discussed in attempt to enhance the cooperation between NTHU and VNU, particularly in awarding scholarships and exchange of scientists, lecturers, research students and undergraduate students. The implementation of joint research projects was also of mutual concern.
Prof.Dr.Sc. Vu Minh Giang emphasized that being the leading training and scientific research center in Vietnam, VNU specially focused on promoting the international cooperation and considered it as an important factor in developing VNU to reach international standards.
He also stated that VNU had opened cooperation with various leading universities in Taiwan. Therefore, the cooperation between the two universities would strongly contribute to improve the effectiveness of training, scientific research and technology transfer.
Prof. Wei-Chung Wang expected an intensive cooperation relationship with VNU – the leading university in Vietnam. He hoped VNU students could be awarded with many scholarships offered by NTHU.
Being one of the most prestigious universities in Taiwan, NTHU ranked 107th in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings in 2010. The university is listed at 33rd in Asia and 280th in the world by Webometrics in 2012.
