This is the tenth time the Lotte Foundation grants scholarships to Vietnamese students. This time, 46 scholarships have been awarded to excellent students from various universities in Hanoi including VNU University of Languages and International Studies, VNU University of Economics and Business, VNU University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hanoi University, Foreign Trade University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, National University of Civil Engineering, National Economics University, etc. This year, for the first time, Lotte Scholarship Foundation has technical scholarships in Electronics and Telecommunications, Construction, Information Technology, not just scholarships in cultures, linguistics, and economics. The total value of scholarships in Hanoi in 2012-2013 year has reached 27.600 USD.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Lee Jong Kook – President of the Lotte Center Hanoi, Mr. Koo Su Hoi – Chairman of Lotte Vietnam Shopping Co., Prof. Nguyen Hoa – Rector of VNU University of Languages and International Studies, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Hoang Luong – Vice President of Hanoi University of Science and Technology and other distinguished guests.
Mr. Lee Jong Kook congratulated on the students with excellent performance and encouraged them to spend more efforts to build their own future and contribute to the national development. Mr. Lee also stressed the significance of this scholarship in promoting the friendship between Korea and Vietnam.
