There will be research and applications bearing the stamp of VNU and Bach Mai hospital
This is the commitment of leaders of VNU and Bach Mai hospital at the meeting in the morning of September 18, 2012 at VNU.

Bach Mai hospital’s delegation, led by General Director, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Anh, were received by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phung Xuan Nha - VNU Permanent Vice President, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Huu Duc - VNU President and representatives from VNU functional departments, School of Medicine and Pharmacy and other affiliated units.
Pursuant to the MoU signed between VNU President and Bach Mai Hospital General Director in August of 2012, the meeting paved the way for leaders of the two institutions to discuss specific cooperation activities in training and scientific research, contributing to provide human resources and scientific-technological products of high quality in medicine and pharmacy.
At the meeting, all participants agreed that the cooperation would bring in social benefits, especially for the patients. Among the various cooperation contents and opportunities, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phung Xuan Nha encouraged the scientists of the two sides to put preference to specific activities that could create early results. In the short term, the two sides would form a group to conduct the 3 scientific research projects related to the applications of nanotechnology, molecular technology, and information technology in medicine.
Leaders of the two institutions also reached to consensus on the establishment of cooperation on training and science in the form of coordination in order to mobilize and apply the research results of fundamental researches conducted by VNU, contributing to deal with challenges in diseases diagnose and treatment at a crowded and final line hospital like Bach Mai.
Within the framework of the meeting, Prof.Dr. Truong Viet Dung - Rector of VNU School of Medicine and Pharmacy stated that the two sides’ cooperation should basically originate from the demands of Bach Mai hospital and VNU’s philosophy of training scientist doctors and scientist pharmacists.
Also on this occasion, the delegation paid a visit to some key laboratories of VNU.
