Promoting multifaceted cooperation with Forschungszentrum Jüelich Center, German
In the afternoon of October 23, 2012, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phùng Xuân Nhạ - VNU Permanent Vice President had a meeting with Prof.Dr. Stefan Blügel – Director of Peter Grüenberg Institute, Forschungszentrum Jüelich Center.

Prof.Dr.Sc. Nguyễn Hoàng Lương – Vice Rector of VNU University of Science and representatives from VNU International Relations Department and R&D Department also attended the meeting.
Founded in December 1956, Forschungszentrum Jüelich is one of the biggest comprehensive research centers in Europe that focuses on 4 key research fields of Medicine, Information, Environment and Energy.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed the cooperation possibility on building projects in Nanotechnology as well as other fields of mutual concern, training graduate students, exchanging staff, supporting VNU in developing research centers of excellence and existing research institutes.
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phùng Xuân Nhạ saw great potential of cooperation between VNU and Forschungszentrum Jüelich Center and encouraged the two sides to initially promote cooperation in some fields of strength, especially in Nanotechnology, then expand to other areas. VNU University of Science would send some of their excellent staff to the Center to improve their research capacity and learn experiences from Germany researchers.
Prof.Dr. Stefan Blugel totally backed VNU’s proposal and committed to create the most favorable conditions for VNU faculties during their time at the Center.
