Developing human resources of high quality
On 21/08/2014, VNU Vice President Nguyễn Hoàng Hải and LG Electronics Vietnam Chief Executive Officer Ko Tae Yeon signed the agreement on cooperation to carry out the training and development of high quality human resources in the field of science and technology.

 

Accordingly, within a period of agreement implementation, each year LG Electronics Vietnam will support five scholarships for outstanding students, each worths $1,700/student/year. Students getting scholarships will have the opportunity to become interns at LG Electronics Vietnam.

 

In the 2014-2015 academic year, LG Electronics Vietnam will provide scholarships for undergraduates who achieve academic results of high distinction and have the minimal TOEIC score of 450 of  VNU University of Engineering and Technology including these following faculties:  Information Technology, Telecommunications Electronics, Mechanical Engineering and Automation.

 


 

After graduating, these students will work at LG at least two years and will be evaluated based on the personnel criteria and selection process to have the official opportunity to work at LG.

 

On behalf of VNU, Vice President Nguyễn Hoàng Hải expressed his thanks to LG Electronics Vietnam for its support and assistance. Mr. Vice President said that with the role of being a top science and technology research and training center in Vietnam, VNU always appreciates the collaborative relationship with major universities, research institutes and enterprises with the aim of looking forward to the development of each partner, the common development of science - technology and tertiary education in Vietnam.

 

 

 

VNU Vice President Nguyễn Hoàng Hải expects that LG Electronics Vietnam will not only support scholarships for VNU students, but also expand the cooperation in training and other scientific research activities. VNU Vice President hopes that LG Electronics Vietnam will create more favorable conditions for VNU students to practice as well as creating employment opportunities for students after graduating, and at the same time creating more research opportunities for VNU staffs./.
