Vietnam National University, Hanoi (NVU): Honouring promising women scientists
On March 7, 2017, VNU Department for Women’s Progress and Trade Union held a ceremony to honour VNU’s 2017 promising women scientists.

At the ceremony, VNU Vice President Nguyễn Hữu Đức – Head of VNU Department for Women’s Progress, presented awards to nine VNU’s 2017 promising women scientists, three of whom were given 100,000,000 VND each for developing their research products.

Addressing the ceremony, VNU Vice President Nguyễn Hữu Đức congratulated VNU’s scientists and said that twenty-six out of the sixty-three 2016 VNU-level projects were managed by women scientists, accounting for 41%. In addition, two VNU’s women scientists are currently State-level project managers.

VNU Vice President asked VNU Trade Union and related divisions to consider scientists’ ideas for proposing suitable solutions for creating a better environment for VNU’s scientists’ in general and women scientists’ creative research in particular.

2. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Chu Ngọc Châu – VNU University of Science;

3. Dr. Vũ Minh Trang – VNU University of Education;

4. Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hương Liên – VNU University of Economics and Business;

5. Dr. Nguyễn Thị Phương Dzung – VNU University of Economics and Business;

6. Dr. Lê Thị Hiên – VNU University of Engineering and Technology;

7. Dr. Nguyễn Thị Xuân Sơn – VNU School of Law;

8. Dr. Trần Thị Oanh – VNU International School; and

9. Dr. Vũ Thị Thanh Nhã – VNU University of Languages and International Studies.

Promising women scientists - Research grantees:

1. Dr. Phạm Bảo Yên – VNU University of Science;

2. Dr. Nguyễn Thị Phương Dzung – VNU University of Economics and Business; and
