The 2020 ASEAN - Korea Youth Summit: overcoming geographical barriers to integrate
Nguyen Ngoc Bich (Advanced Biotechnology) - 1 in 3 student representatives from Can Tho University, participated in the 2020 ASEAN - Korea Youth Summit.

The 2020 ASEAN - Korea Youth Summit was held virtually with the theme "Togetherness of ASEAN-Korean Youth, for the future of ASEAN-Korean Community ". The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family (MOGEF), the Republic of Korea in cooperation with the National Council of Youth Organizations in Korea (NCYOK) and ASEAN University Network (AUN) held this event from November 23 to 27, 2020 to further strengthen youth exchanges and cooperation between ASEAN countries and South Korea.

During the conference, Ngoc Bich was in group 2 - Personal communication to overcome geographical barriers: Focus on young people, especially the difficulties that young people ASEAN - South Korea in general, Vietnamese youth, in particular, are facing and other propose settlement when approaching domestic and foreign program exchanges.

One of them, language difficulty and the lack of understanding about culture and society printing in Vietnam and the region prevents Vietnamese youth from contributing ideas in international exchange events. Suggestions like creating online classes to universal knowledge of ASEAN and the world, may become, required for College students as a standard graduate.

Short-term visa issues of 1-3 months in ASEAN-Korea are also the government issue that the young people of Southeast Asia who had Ngoc Bich mentioned.

Currently, procedural visas for young people participating in international conferences are complicated and insufficient for an exchange program. The youth group from Vietnam and Southeast Asia is also expected to have greater integration in the region and create favourable conditions for young people to travel to the world.

After heated discussions, each country will generate submissions up the query, send to the Ministry of Family and Gender Equality (MOGEF), creating a connection between ASEAN - Korea and Vietnam - Korea for the bar's cooperation and development chronology of nations.

In addition to the opening, closing ceremony and very professional discussion sessions, the host unit in Vietnam, Hanoi National University also supported 06 representatives from the National University - Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho University with attentive welcome.
