With a large number of researchers, VNU is a leading research and training consulting partner of many ministries, departments, sectors, central and local agencies. A number of VNU scientists are honoured to be listed in the world's Top 10,000 most influential scientists.

VNU also focuses on investing in and developing its science and technology potential with a system of more than 200 laboratories, nearly 100 research teams at affiliate level and 30 strong research teams at VNU level. VNU has deployed key laboratories in a number of key fields, especially such interdisciplinary models as aerospace industry; biomedical informatics; high-tech flexible agriculture, focusing on solving the issues of climate change, social security, poverty reduction and environmental pollution, among others.

Promoting the development of interdisciplinary science, applying science and technology to local and regional development practice, VNU scientists host the implementation of key national science and technology tasks.
