VNU University of Science and six other universities in Vietnam meet international accreditation standards, announced the Quality Management Department of the Ministry of Education and Training on December 16.

These universities include:

- Ho Chi Minh University of Technology (under the Viet Nam National University)

- The University of Da Nang-University of Science and Technology

- University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi

- Ha Noi University of Civil Engineering

- University of Science-Viet Nam National University in Ha Noi

- Ho Chi Minh City based-Ton Duc Thang University

- International University-Viet Nam National University in Ho Chi Minh City

Meanwhile, 181 universities and colleges nationwide have met educational quality standards.

Earlier, Ha Noi-based National University and Ho Chi Minh City-based National University were named among the top 1,000 universities worldwide on the QS World University Rankings 2022 while Ton Duc Thang University was ranked in the top 1001-1200 and Ha Noi University of Science and Technology was named in the 1201+ group.

Four Vietnamese universities entered the Impact Rankings 2021 by Times Higher Education (THE), including Viet Nam National University - Ha Noi, which is ranked at number 401-600, Ton Duc Thang University (401-600), Ha Noi University of Science and Technology (601-800), and Phenikaa University (801-1,000).
