VNU’s administrative units commence work in Hoa Lac new headquarters
May 19, 2022, the 132nd birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh, was marked with a special event of VNU – the relocation of its headquarters to Hoa Lac campus.

The relocation of VNU's headquarters to Hoa Lac is an important step towards welcoming students to study here in September 2022.

On this occasion, all staff, officials and employees of VNU’s Administration attended the flag-salute ceremony and respectfully offered incense, expressing their infinite gratitude and deep respect to President Ho Chi Minh – the beloved old father of the nation.

Inheriting President Ho Chi Minh’s revolutionary spirit, VNU will continue to cultivate new scientific and training ideas in the green land of Hoa Lac, contributing to the socio-economic development of the country.

In order to achieve this important milestone, over the past 6 months, VNU has mobilized all its resources to Hoa Lac to make rapid and beyond-expectation changes.

At the end of 2021, VNU established a Steering Committee and a Working Group to implement the task of sending VNU students to study at Hoa Lac campus. In the first and second quarters of 2022, VNU completed and put into use lecture halls, classrooms, laboratories, etc. in complexes HT1, HT2 and Zone 4 Dormitory, Library and VNU administration compound. VNU's Board of Presidents has moved to work regularly at Hoa Lac headquarters since March 2022. Along with investing in building essential utility structures to serve students' learning and working activities in the near future, VNU and its partners have actively planted more trees here in order to green 165 hectares.

Standing by the national flag in a space filled with Hoa Lac’s green of hope, VNU President Le Quan warmly welcomed all officials to the Flag Raising Ceremony and Incense Offering Ceremony on the occasion of the 132nd birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh – the first flag-salute ceremony of VNU in Hoa Lac University town.

VNU President said that, in the spirit of determination, focus, positivity and urgency of all VNU’s units, the VNU administration compound and the surrounding campus space have been completed as contributions to the projects for welcoming students to live and study in Hoa Lac this September.

Late Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet chose the location at the end of Thang Long Boulevard in Thach That, Hanoi - the intersection connecting the centre of Hanoi and Hoa Lac, as the construction site of VNU.

VNU’s Hoa Lac campus is expected to become a most modern and advanced university urban area in Southeast Asia, "… with special significance not only for VNU but also for the image of the whole country" - said by PM (now State President) Nguyen Xuan Phuc during his visit to VNU in 2016.
