VNU students win prizes at APhO 2022
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, all eight Vietnamese students participating in the 2022 Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO) won prizes including one silver medal, two bronze medals and five certificates of merit.

The participants from VNU University of Science High School for Gifted Students won a silver medal, two bronze medals and a certificate of merit.

Le Minh Hoang, a 12th grader from VNU University of Science High School for Gifted Students, won a silver medal.

Vo Hoang Hai - a 10th grader and Vo Ngo Hoang Duong – an 11th grader from VNU University of Science High School for Gifted Students, were bronze medalists.

Certificates of merit were given to Nguyen Tuan Minh, an 11th grader from VNU University of Science High School for Gifted Students; Phung Cong Hieu, a 12th grader from Vinh Phuc High School for the Gifted; Nguyen Dang Phuc, a 12th grader from Bac Ninh High school for the Gifted; Vo Truong Thien Ky, a 12th grader from Luong Van Chanh High school for the Gifted, Phu Yen province; and Cao Van Dong, a 12th grader from High school for Gifted Students, Hanoi National University of Education.

Hosted by India, the online competition lasted from May 23 to May 31 with 218 contestants from 28 teams.

As an all-winner team, the Vietnamese team ranked 8th after those from China, Russia, Australia, Taiwan (China), Kazakhstan, India, and Thailand.
