Promoting administrative procedures reform at VNU

Implementing the policy of the Party and the Government on digital transformation, over the past time, the VNU  Party Committee and VNU Board of Presidents have led and drastically directed the digital transformation program which attained the following achievements: updated information technology infrastructure, 24/7 stable operation, satisfaction of the requirements of implementing technology applications in management, training, and scientific research; and high efficiency in the use of applied softwares, databases for training, scientific and technological research, and university administration.

Due to the complicated and prolonged situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, the VNU-Office document and work management system was added with digital signature function while national document linkage was promoted to facilitate the management and administration exchanges between VNU and its members and affiliated units. Thanks to the promotion of exploitation and use of digital signatures integrated with electronic documents, sending and receiving documents internally (through the VNU-Office system); sending and receiving electronic documents with the Government, ministries, sectors and localities through the National Document Interoperability Axis, have helped improve the administration reform and digital transformation within VNU; gradually enabling VNU to participate in the e-administration system and national digital transformation.

In 2021, VNU Office of the President signed a cooperation agreement with Gapo Joint Stock Company to provide nearly 8,000 Zoom accounts for 2 years’ free-of-charge use, meeting the needs of online teaching and learning of VNU officials and lecturers during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Also this year, VNU provided nearly 10,000 SSO accounts for staff and learners of one-time login to use online services including: email, electronic library, borrowing and returning e-books online, E-learning, science and technology management, human resource management, amongst others.

VNU began to provide news via the social media platform Zalo. The online Primary education support channel has been operated with dozens of online training events for primary school teachers across the country.

The Vocational and Higher Education Quality Hub was also launched to serve the implementation of programs, events and activities for the purpose of developing higher education and vocational education quality culture nationwide. In order to improve training quality and services, VNU has collected comments from staff and students for information technology, training services and other fields of VNU work.
