VNU – IS: Promoting cooperation with the Embassy of Hungary in Vietnam

On August 19th, 2022, International School, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-IS) had a meeting with the Embassy of Hungary in Vietnam.

Attending the meeting were representatives from Embassy of Hungary (Mr. Áron Balázs, Counsellor in charge of Culture, Education and Press); representative from VNU (Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Tuan Anh, Deputy Director, Cooperation and Development Department); and representatives from VNU-IS (Dr. Nguyen Trung Hien, Head of Office of Student Affairs and officials from Office of Student Affairs and Office of Research & Partnership Development).

The meeting aimed to explore cooperative possibilities between VNU and the Embassy of Hungary in Vietnam in general and between VNU-IS and the Embassy of Hungary in Vietnam in particular. After a brief introduction about VNU, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Tuan Anh shared that 03 Hungarian experts have recently come to Vietnam to conduct the laboratory on nuclear science and he hoped that the Embassy of Hungary in Vietnam will assist VNU in offering more experts to cooperate with VNU in different fields in the coming time. Following the sharing of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Tuan Anh, Dr. Nguyen Trung Hien introduced VNU-IS’s training programs as well as scholarship opportunities to welcome Hungarian students to study at VNU-IS.

Mr. Áron Balázs showed his interest in promoting relationship with VNU. He also expressed his care about a wide range of programs that VNU-IS offers. In that connection, he will disseminate the training programs information in Hungary for those who are interested in applying. Mr. Áron Balázs also informed that the call for application of Hungary Scholarship for Vietnamese students will be released soon in early November. Such a good opportunity will create brighter future for students of VNU in general and VNU-IS in particular if they can obtain this scholarship.

Both sides also discussed other cooperative possibilities in the coming time such as scholarships for VNU high school students, joint research opportunities for scholars, etc…

The today meeting will be the foundation to promote long-term cooperation in the future between all sides.
