VNU Vice President Pham Bao Son said that the visit by Ireland's Ambassador to Vietnam John McCullagh and Enterprise Ireland's ASEAN Regional Director Kevin Ryan to VNU Hoa Lac campus showed their appreciation of VNU’s position and potential capacity as well as Ireland's interest in promoting educational cooperation between the two countries in the coming time.
Informing of VNU’s pioneering in innovation in all activities, VNU Vice President Pham Bao Son shared that VNU's research and development activities were always closely linked with practice and in tune with the needs of businesses and society for national development. Promoting the tradition of cooperation with Ireland, he expressed his desire to seek cooperation opportunities with Enterprise Ireland in particular, with universities and businesses of Ireland in general, for strengthening development and provision of high-quality service for society.
At the meeting, expressing his impression of the cooperation results between VNU and its Irish partners in recent years, especially of the effectiveness of the VIBE program, Mr. Kevin Ryan - ASEAN Regional Director of Enterprise Ireland, introduced and shared the cooperation model between universities and businesses in Ireland. Enterprise Ireland connects and helps universities and businesses to launch research projects according to market needs.
Irish Ambassador to Vietnam John McCullagh and ASEAN Regional Director of Enterprise Ireland Kevin Ryan both said that the potential for cooperation and investment attraction from Irish businesses to VNU Hoa Lac campus was huge. They committed to helping VNU and Irish educational institutions and businesses expand cooperation in such areas as research, innovation and entrepreneurship, contributing to the provision of innovative development solutions.
