Over the past years, following the mission of being a high-quality human resources training centre, VNU has constantly expanded its cooperation with many domestic and foreign partners. On May 24, 2022, VNU signed a memorandum of understanding with LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong Co., Ltd. on training and recruitment activities. On August 5, 2022, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on the implementation of the scholarship program for students.

The first phase of LG Display scholarship program has been implemented by VNU from the beginning of the 2022-2023 academic year for good students of technology, engineering and Korean majors, who commit to working at LG Display Hai Phong Company for 2 years from their graduation. On August 26, 2022, 42 VNU’s students had the opportunity to visit LG Display Company in Hai Phong and participated in direct interviews there. Thirty-three out of the 42 students were shortlisted for LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong Co., Ltd. scholarships, each worth 35 million VND.

“By gradually creating a green, modern and synchronous university space in Hoa Lac Township, VNU hopes to open up a space for innovation and creativity, which works closely with businesses to solve problems based on the actual needs of the market. Through the meetings and exchanges, we realized that the potential cooperation between LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong Co., Ltd. and VNU’s Hoa Lac Campus is huge, not only in training cooperation programs, providing human resources but also in implementing joint research projects and application problems”, said VNU Vice President Nguyen Hoang Hai.

According to Mr Kim Jong Hyeon, LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong Human Resources Director, in the coming time, the Company would expand its factory system, increase production scale and diversify products. Therefore, the Company urgently needs more high-quality human resources, especially the students from top training institutions like VNU. He also wished that, in addition to LG Display scholarships for students, the two sides would cooperate in organizing short-term training courses and conducting joint scientific research activities for sustainable development.
